Designing a Balanced Life: My Journey in Floral Design and Feng Shui

As I celebrate my first year in business, I find myself reflecting on how both of my passions have shaped my professional path and personal growth. Embarking on this journey has been many years in the making. Gathering the courage to take that leap of faith to take a dream to reality was daunting to say the least. It has allowed me to intertwine my love for floral design and Feng Shui into one cohesive business that has been both exhilerating and transformative. This change has been everything I didn’t know my soul needed. Floral design allows me to express creativity through vibrant blooms, while Feng Shui helps me understand the energy of spaces, guiding me to create environments that promote harmony and balance. Together they have become the cornerstone of my journey towards a fulfilling career.

Discovering My Passion for Floral Design and Feng Shui

It all began during a last minute decision to get out of my comfort zone and take a flower arranging class by myself. The simple act of selecting blooms and thoughtfully placing them together brought an unexpected wave of joy and satisfaction. I quickly began to fall in love with my new found hobby that had turned into a passion I so deeply loved. I soon found myself delving into any floral design books I could get my hands on, and any online resource I could find. With each page and tutorial my appreciation deepened for the art, teaching me color theory, flower types, and arrangement techniques. As I continued to work on my Floral Design skills, I stumbled upon Feng Shui, a practice focusd on harmonizing individuals with their surrounding enviroment. The concept of energy flow and how it impacts the surrounding enviroment was extremely intriguing. The more I learned the more it resonated within me. Feng Shui wasn’t just about moving furniture; it was about creating spaces that foster peace, productivity, and happiness. The connection between floral design and Feng Shui became abundantly clear the more I practiced. Both are deeply rooted in nature and harmony. Floral design brings beauty and freshness into a space, while Feng Shui ensures that the placement and arrangement of objects, including flowers, enhance the positive energy bringing the most abundant flow of qi to a space. This was that light bulb moment for me realizing I could merge these two together for the ultimate space that felt great to be in.
